First of all, today is the 100th day of 2nd grade!!! Look at these cuties that dressed like they are 100 years old. Love it!
We had several students who brought in a 100th day project. We didn't get to everyones today so we'll post pictures of the rest of our projects tomorrow. Here are a few...
(Sorry...we've really got to figure out how to rotate our pictures on here.)
In writing, we're learning about how to make our writing more "juicy". :)
Today in Science, we learned about rain gauges. Did you know that meteorologists use rain gauges to measure the amount of rainfall? Since it wasn't raining today we made our own rain for our gauge. Then we used a ruler to measure the amount of rainfall we had.
When we finished our lesson, we went outside and put out a larger rain gauge. The next time it rains...we'll be ready! :)
We are soooo excited to finally be learning how to multiply. We have been begging Mrs. Gaston all year! We are learning that multiplication is really just repeated addition. We made arrays today with foam tiles.
Whew...it was a busy day! Check back soon for more updates on Mrs. G and Ms. C's superstars!!!
